MotoCrane ULTRA XP Base Specs, Manuals and Field Guide
Zero-backlash base module upgrade for ULTRA.
What it is
The XP Base replaces the original ULTRA Base. MotoCrane says the original base runs planetary and worm gears at about 20 percent net efficiency, while the XP Base's two-stage 'synchromonic' powertrain runs at over 80 percent with zero swing backlash.
It uses the same speedrail mounting dimensions and the same Base Driver Unit (BDU) as the original, so owners can swap the BDU or keep the old base as a spare.
New ACC COM and ACC PWR2 ports let you run a second DC voltage through the slipring, for example 12V and 24V together for an ARRI SRH-3/360.
