1Choose control
Hardwired: run the LT COM cable from the Pan Housing COM port to the TITAN Controller. With the cable in, radios switch to receive only. Wireless: leave the cable off and fit antennas.
2Fit both antennas
Standard 2.4GHz radios use separate transmit and receive modules, so both antennas must be on the gimbal and the controller. LongWave modules use one antenna each.
3Connect power
Plug the LT power cable into the Pan Housing and a charged TITAN Battery via the anti-spark QS8 connector, fully seated. Or use the TB50 sleds.
4Pre-power check
Payload secure, balanced, and level with the horizon. Cables cannot snag. Battery charged or 48V source within 42 to 53VDC.
5Boot upright
Hold the ON/OFF button with LT top side up. Booting upside down or sideways can cause erratic moves while the IMU works out its orientation.
6Preset and arm
On the Spine screen, apply the closest Tuning Preset, then press ARM and confirm. With Safe Arm on (default) the motors still have to be switched ON from the controller. If it was already ON, toggle it off and on.
- Safe Arm off: arming from the gimbal energizes the motors after about 3 seconds at full torque. For experienced users only.
- Quick Boot off (default): about 30 seconds of IMU calibration at every start, best performance. Quick Boot on skips it but can cause drift, axis coupling or a tilted horizon.
