MotoCrane RADICAL lift not working: field checklist

The lift version of MotoCrane's RADICAL flowchart. Same order as swing: cables, codes, E-STOP, diagnostics, then isolate the joystick, controller or Cortex.

Why won't my MotoCrane RADICAL lift?

  1. 1Swap cables first

    Try different or new cables before going further.

  2. 2Look for error codes

    Open STATUS from the error icon. Codes 035, 075, 089 or 109 together point to the Cortex. Code 133 points to the lift joystick: recalibrate it, and replace it if that does not help.

  3. 3Check the E-STOP

    Make sure the E-STOP is released.

  4. 4Open DIAGNOSTICS

    Move the lift stick and watch lift MOTOR CMD. If it does not move, set lift SPEED to 99 and SMOOTH to 0 and test again. If you cannot change them, the controller board is likely damaged.

  5. 5Compare with swing

    If swing works normally, suspect the lift joystick. If not, check the green CORTEX POWER LED. Off points to the Cortex lift driver board. On points to an electrical problem in the Base or Fulcrum: contact MotoCrane Support.
