1Swap cables first
Before anything else, try different or new cables if you have them.
2Look for error codes
If the controller shows an error, touch the icon to open the STATUS page. Codes 035, 075, 089 or 109 together point to the Cortex. Code 138 points to the swing joystick: recalibrate it, and replace it if that does not help.
3Check the E-STOP
Make sure the E-STOP is released.
4Open DIAGNOSTICS
With no error showing, open DIAGNOSTICS on the controller and move the swing stick. If swing MOTOR CMD does not move, set swing SPEED to 99 and SMOOTH to 0 and test again.
5If you cannot adjust SPEED or SMOOTH
The controller circuit board is likely damaged and needs replacing.
6Compare with lift
If the lift stick works normally, the swing joystick is the likely fault. If lift also fails, check the green CORTEX POWER status LED. LED off points to the Cortex swing driver board. LED on points to an electrical problem in the Base, so contact MotoCrane Support about checking the swing motor phase and hall connections.
